Not sure where to post this question, this seems to be the best place. I have an original cowl hood off of a 69 Camaro that is dent/rust free and in primer. I would like to know what would be a fair price for it. I've promised it to a friend, just need to agree on a price. I'm thinking $350.00. Sound fair? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
Doug

If it is a GM Hood, sounds like a good deal to me, if I needed a GM one. Paddocks lists a GM hood for $675.00 Hope that helps...Mike

While I am by no means an expert, I paid $350 for a GM cowl hood a few years ago. It was painted and had to be stripped, prepped and repainted.

I would buy it for that. You are certainly in the ballpark where both sides will smile. I bought a GM NOS hood without the box in less than perfect condition for $400.00 delivered half way. It would have been a toss up between a good used GM one at $350.00 and the one I bought.

350 is fair, but the Goodmark reproductions for just over 200 bucks are good too......KZ

Depends how "used" it is.
1st gen hoods often rust badly on the inner structure where the latch bolt mounts. You have to look or feel in there; it's not noticeable.
With age ducted hoods may sag at the base of the scoop causing dimples at the front corners.

Thanks everyone for all your help. I just sold a drivers side RS fender that needed a small repair for $125 and felt I under priced it. Looks like $350 is a fair price..........Doug
