Just connect the dots. Pull up your carpet where the shifter would go. Look & feel very closely with your hand. There should be 4 very small "dimples" in the sheet metal in the area where the four speed shifter hole would go. Just connect the little dimple marks with a pencil & straight edge. This will will make an outline of the hole for cutting the tunnel. If your car originally came with a floor shifter auto it should be cable driven. When you take the "horseshoe" shifter out it will leave a small hole the just north of the shifter where the cable went down through the tunnel. This hole will need to be covered. When you put the manual trans parts in, there is a plate that will have to be removed from the firewall for your clutch pedal assembly. This "plate" is screwed on to the firewall with 2 little screws. Use this plate to cover the hole left from the cable shifter. I fits perfectly. Also... buy an assemble manual for car. It makes your whole car look like plans for putting together a model airplane. Good luck
