That depends on a number of things.... You mentioned your car being a friday night cruiser. Is that all you want to do with the car? What transmission & rear gears do you have?
If possible, get the block casting numbers and cylinder head casting numbers from the 350 and post them here or look them up at www.mortec.com to see what you would be getting.
My car started out as a 327/210HP base coup with a Powerglide transmission. Just the few mods in my sig. have made a big difference in the drivability of my car. The 327 is a good engine. The biggest obstacle to power on the lower HP 327's are the lousy cylinder heads.
Post up some more info. and the guys here can point you in the right direction.

i don't know about "firday" (only kidding) night cruising, but for weekend cruising' we definitely prefer the 327. we found a '69 327 for our '68 coupe and it was more difficult to find.........besides everyone has a 350.
this lil 327 puts out 350hp at the rear wheels. to us, it just sounds right...a 327 Camaro! imho.

I personally prefer a 327. My 69 coupe came with a stock 2 barrell 210 hp 327. I rebuilt it with better internals and Pro topline heads. The difference was night and day. There must be a reason your friend wants to trade his 350 for your 327...;) The 327's are getting a little bit scarce in my opinion. Keep that sucker and put a 268H cam in it, good heads (vortec w/vortec intake, rebuilt stock heads, or a good set of aluminums for the most bang) top it all off with a holley or Edelbrock 4 barrell and then go to the Friday night cruise ins :)
