I need to know who has had the best luck with headers for a 69. Does the extra for the coating worth it.. I was shown it wasn't on a 57..just need some opinions:)

Get the ceramic coating. Paint on Painted headers usually does not stick. I got the $199 summit ceramic coated headers and i'm pretty happy with them (for my '67).

i got these headers for my 68' im sure they will fit your car.

there coated and mine have about 4,000 miles on them and people ask me if i just installed them! -no joke.

I just installed the Hooker Super Comp Ceramic coated headers and I love them. But I'm not so sure that the Summit brand that the others were talking about wouldn't do just as well.

I vote for the ceramic coating, too. I have Hooker Super Comps on my '68 as well. You also need to consider tube size--if the engine is a 350 pretty much stock or slightly modified, 1-5/8" is plenty big. Too big a tube and you'll lose torque unless it's a screamer. Hope this helps.

I like my hooker super comps, they fit fine and tuck up nice and tight. Absolutely go with the coating, they will run about 200*-300* cooler usually, think about the effect that has on underhood temps, well worth it IMO

I like the idea of the elite headers from hedman...I just do not want to spend a ton on headers.

Hey, I just found out that hedman warranty is 5 years and hookers are 90 days...seems like a no brainer now:)
I just hope it clears the ps and all...anyone know, it will have ac I don't think it will make a difference

Does anyone know if the hedman elite will clear my p/s. It looks like it might be tight.

I have Ceramic Coated Dynomax Headers on my 69 and I like them, plus the price was right.

When you decide which headers you want to use......I would suggest checking with www.jet-hot.com They ceramic coat the inside and outside plus their warranty is better than the manufacturers. They have headers in stock and the prices (with Team Camaro discount) is very close to Summit/Jegs for the same header but with the better Jet Hot coating. Thay've got some cool new colors too!
