Hi,

If I was able to successfully install an inner cowl panel and dash panel how hard would it be to install quarters? Would they be about the same difficulty?

Thanks,
Chris

I would classify the rear quarters as one of the more difficult panels to replace based simply on the number of interfaces and the fact that it is a large external (i.e. high visibility) piece... but don't let that discourage you. I hadn't replaced a single panel (or done very much welding for that matter) before starting this project and I have replaced (or will replace) most of the components on my car (full floor pan, DSE mini-tubs, DSE subframe connector, both outer rockers, both outer wheelwells, upper and lower cowl, dash panel, both outer cowls, firewall, both rear quarters, and trunk pan) . I did however save the rear quarters for last so that I could learn/practice as much as possible. That ended up being a good idea. I have 1 (RH) installed and now I'm finishing the trunk pan and then I'll do the other (LH) and that should complete the epic journey. I just took my time and kept working it until I was satisfied. I also had to walk away a few times to recharge my mojo. It can sap the mojo out of you. Just remember that if the panel doesn't fit correctly when dry-fitted then it definitely won't fit any better when you weld it in. There plenty of threads on this board that will give you a very good idea of what to expect. Have at it.
