GO CARDS! Not a Cards fan, but they are in the National League, or anybody who plays against the Mets & Yankees.

Chavez did pull a good catch/save and got 2 outs. I will give him credit for that. He did have to do something after losing the foul ball after it landed in his glove.......

I cheered for them the couple of games I was at the new Busch Stadium in August and again in September. Great stadium and great fans. However starting tomorrow it'll be my Tigers I'm rooting for! I wore my old English D hat every summer, including the 119 loss season with much ridiculing, so I'm not just jumping on the band wagon.

I just came home from a week in St. Louis tonight. The town, like Detroit is buzzing. Cards gear being worn by everyone. I had my Tigers hat on. Every single fan today I spoke with, probably 12-15, all commented they were concerned about their team or didn't think they'd win. I was shocked to hear it over and over. Where is that coming from? Cards got 3 solid pitchers in Weaver, Carpenter and Suppan. A good hitting line up and a closer that's stepped up during the absence of their normal closer. And the Suppan can hit for power.

Yankes flat out stink, A's pitching was terribly wild with no speed, very disappointing compared to what it was being billed to be. The Cards will have the toughest pitching that the Tigers have had to face. I still think the Tigers have the advantage, but it could go either way. Our bottom 3 hitters have 100 homers combined, they all hit for power and they're 7,8 and 9. However our pitchers can't hit, only 2 hits in interleague play from them and Cards have shut down the Mets who are a tough hitting team, much better than the A's and Yankees. Should be a good series.

Great series so far. Hope to see all you Cards fans in St. Louis this week! I'll be the guy near the Redbird club in the Tigers hat.
