I am about to restor my wiper assembly (from motor to blade arms). What are the proper finishes (paint/plating) for the connecting rods and associated hardware?

Wiper transmission is black, but the attachemnt brackets and brass were riveted after paint, so they should be natural.

Wiper arms were dull stainless--not really brushed, but certainly not polished.

Wiper motor was gloss black

Wiper screws and gromets were cad plated.
Screws to install transmission was also cad plated (same as motor screws, but shorter.
