This is the first time we're doing a quarter.
The sail to top seam had lead only on the front part of the seam. The rest was some kind of "bondo". I expected lead along the whole seam.
The sail metal was spotwelded on the inner top support metal and was a bear to get to. We ended up using a flat prybar and probed to find them. That was the hardest part of the removal.
Doing this allowed us to easily get to a lot of the support steel that was rusted. I'm seeing why these camaros rust where they do. The rocker drains aren't in the best spot to drain inside the quarters. We're gonna try to seal and improve this area while we're in there.
We are ordering Goodmark quarters on Monday.
Thanks to all the replies to our questions. We just couldn't do this without you guys.

Good luck with the 1/4's hopefully you will get a good fitting set, mine had there "spots" that were off but overall fit reasonably well. If you need to see some reference pics Click on my signature it shows 1/4 replacement on a 67.

When I ordered the goodmark driverside quarter, I was told goodmark has started selling the "re-tooled" quarters and they fit much better than the previous ones.
