Next Saturday I'm going to the local strip for a test and tune day, I've never run on a strip before, so I'm mainly concerned with not making a fool of myself. I'm spending this week making some minor changes so I can get through tech, coolant over flow, getting rid of some rubber fuel line, ect.

Any body got any suggestion for a first timer? Phil

Concentrate, pay attention, and don't stage with your rear tires, believe me ive been around dragstrips all my life and have seen that happen on many occasions.

Wait until the guy in the water box tells you that it is ok to heat up your rear tires. Guys on the line don't appreciate a nice big burnout right behind them while they are waiting on the green.

Yes, I was the guy doing the burnout wondering why that guy was yelling at me!! Where are you going, Mason - Dixon? - Rob

Yeah, One of my buddies just got his Sporster put together and wants to see wht it will run.

I'm not even sure I'll need a burn out, the car won't spin the tires on a straight away pull anyhow, I need a stull converter bad. Phil

turn on the first amber then slowly creep forward until the second flickers on, do the every time so you can stay consistant it also gives you a head start of a few inches your car will actually be rolling before you break the beam and start the timer.
