Hey i have a friend who has a nice 69ss that he has bought that has the orignal block in it turned to a stroker.
I can't figure it out but this doesnt sound right to me. He has had multiple problems with the engine and has brought it in a couple of times it was burning oil. Then they found out that a wrong part was used that was being the issue and they chekced the pistons and said they were some high dollar like 800+ a set pistons and said that everythings rated to 8000+ rpms. The engine idles fairly rough but has no stall on it although it does bog a little it still has good power for him to crusie never going above 2000 on street driving and it idles at 600 rpms. He beats a good number of things but some are close when they shouldnt his engine shifts after 4k under full throttle doesnt burn out much from a stop and doesnt pull until 3500. He has a turb350 with a shift kit in it. I cant figure out what cam he has or the specs and i dont think the stock 350 with the kit could handle much more than 425 horses.
