Hey guys, I just bought a 99 camaro ss, I am getting 18" rims with 275/40 all around, what do you recommend for: springs, and how much of a drop.

1 inch lowering springs from eibach will put it at a great height. Also, get some revalved bilsteins (do a search on www.cz28.com, the revalved bilsteins are made for lowered rides). This combo will not only make your ride decent, it will make it handle awesome and look good while doing it.

so this is just a matter of swapping out the stock springs for the eibach lowering springs? that's it? i also have a '99 z28 and would be interested in lowering it a bit.

In my opinion if you are going to lower the car, make sure to buy shocks that are built for that ride height. Stock 4th gen shocks are not that great. There are bilsteins that a guy revalves over on www.cz28.com. They are perfect and will give you enhanced ride quality with the look.

I dropped mine an inch and a half with eibach springs. Any lower and speed bumps will be greeting you with sparks.

i heard that eibach sportlines are a good look but not very smooth of a ride..you should go with hotchiks for springs. They give about a 1" drop but they are a bit expensive. And for shocks you cant go wrong with KYB AGX
