Hey guys, Just stopping in to introduce myself. I have started to work on a 1967 camaro that I guess would be considered Pro-Touring, but probably not as nice as some of the cars here. I just wanted to have a place to get some help and post progress. Here is what I have ordered so far.

Front disc brake conversion
Strange Dana 60 rear end with 3:73's
Rear Willwood brakes
Hooker ceramic coated LS1 headers with hooker motor mounts
Boyd Coddington smoothie II's with 245/45 17 Eagle F1's
2002 LS1 with 4L60E tranny

I think this is a good start. Can you guys suggest anything else that might help my build along? I will try to post as many pics as I can starting this weekend. The car will be a weekend driver for the most part.

Good luck with those hooker mounts. Myself and several others have
tried using them and they put the heads within a 1/4 to an 1/8th of the firewall. I went with S&P mounts and hooker headers for my LS2,
just had to ding the header around the pitman arm. Using the S&P
mounts you do need to mod the pan though. Speartech did my harness
and I'm 100% satisfied with his work . Good Luck

I actually know John very well. I live in Indiana not far from him. I have converted a 1977 corvette to an LS1 and used his harness, it was top notch. I got the hooker mounts to avoid the oil pan modifications needed but if I run into problems I'll have to get the S&P's. Thanks for the heads up.

dheck second the hooker mounts, I'm gonna try the ATS mounts. Do you know of a source around Indy for an ls1? Thanks John

I just sold my forged 347 a few weeks ago. I stay very active in the Indy LS1community so I will keep an eye out.
