Hey everyone,
I am looking to mount my Holley Blue fuel pump back by the tank somewhere and wanted to see where you all mounted yours.. if you use one. I dont have an full exhaust on the car yet and dont want that to be an ussue. I am just getting the motor in now. I plan on the using the flowwmaster or similar setup with the pipes coming out behind the rear wheels not straight out the back. Anyone have any pics ? I dont want to mount it and find out its in the way of the exhaust. I'd like to tuck it in somewhere so it doesnt hang low. Just curious to see your installation.

Thanks

My Holley Blue is mounted ahead of the fuel tank on a piece of aluminum plate. I run a sumped stock tank which has been removed in this pic. I run a K&N stainless steel fuel filter after the pump which is just out of view. Have had this system on the car for 4-5 years without any problems.

I did the same as "Dirt". Right in front of the tank -- mine is on the passenger side though.

Up in the right rear corner of rear frame above the springs, set in rubber insulators.

Mine too. But i recently mounted a BIG holley Volumax pump for a new car i'm building and drilled a 4" hole in the trunk so the motor part of the pump is IN the trunk. It was the only way to fit such a stupid pump in a camaro.

Actually, that's not such a bad idea because all the wiring can be inside the trunk where it stays dry and away from road grime.

I'm redoing my setup with a magnafuel this week, but here's how it is currently setup.
The new deal will be similar, except mounted on the front of the trunk latch bracket.

It is loud, but it is the pump, not the mount. Those Holleys are just loud. I have two Holleys on my boat and I can hear them over the open headers.

It has worked out fine. When I mounted it I had a SB 400 in the car running mid 12s. I changed to a 500 inch BBC running high 10s and have had no fuel issuses. I have a full exhaust with dual turbo mufflers in front of the axle with tail pipes that exit in the stock location.

My holley pump is just mounted inline between the stock tank fuel pick up and the stock 3/8 metal fuel rail that runs down the frame. It is not the way I would set up a race car fuel system, but it has worked fine on my car for years.

Hey Rayzor, where did you get those rubber pieces for your fuel pump mount? I want to rubber mount my fuel pump as well to help reduce noise and I can't find any rubber to use.
