$100k + cars generally don't sell by way of a classified ad. You need to take this car to an auction.

I think your right but I just sold my crossram on the classified so there are people out there that have the means. The yenko guys checked it out when it was on ebay last time so that may be the place to do it once again. I dont like ebay though. I may try it at BJ this spring.

McLaren sported a ZL-1 in '68 and won big with the alum 427 making upwards of 640hp. Was Yenko involved in Can-Am racing? Did Chevy sport a car to compete with the Lola, Mclarens, Porsches and others?

Thanks. I am currently getting as much paper work as I can from the previous owner. The can am engine has a different bore than the 427 and has almost 500 inches. I think in the 700ish hp range.

Money talks and BS walks. When that check is cashed and the money is in your hand, or hopefully, in your bank account, then you can celebrate. Until then, I think you're just wishful thinking. If you really want to get top dollar for it, put it on eBay, all the fools with more money than sense hang out there.........:D:D:D

I have yet to see any of the tribute Zl1's get over 100K. They have been real close and I like them better than a real plain Jane looking COPO. Lately, The real Yenkos and Copos have had a hard time pulling in 140K.

What are you thinking? That was just what I was thinking. The 4 bolt main big block market is just now starting to boom, which engine is the king? This engine is money in the bank, hold on to it. Quit thinking of what it is worth today and see what happens down the road. In terms of rarity and desirability what surpasses this motor? Only down side would be blowing it up.

One thing for sure, Its easy to tell the jealous guys from the ones that appreciate a car no matter what the value or its rareness. The car is for sale. It has been bought and sold a few times here between collectors.

I don't really think anyone here is jealous in the way you are inferring. You asked and got opinions. I didn't read any of the above to be "OMG your car is better than mine so it sucks and it's not worth anything!". Perhaps rereading comments with an open mind would be enlightening.

Perhaps you should read the comment I was referring to with an intelligent mind rather than a bias one. I should have known better than to post such a rare semi-untouchable car in a forum like this one.

How am I being biased? I don't like any 69 Camaros (ever read my sig? :D ). I asked you to read it with an open mind, and to realize you asked for opinions. When you ask for opinions, you're not always going to like everyones. Asking you to have an open mind shouldn't lead to insulting one's intelligence. You have a nice car, and sure not everyone is going to think it's worth "to them" what either you think it is, or what it in reality may be worth. Insulting the forum as a whole ("forum like this one") won't lead to an intelligent conversation either. There are PLENTY of members here that can afford to buy your car for 150k and 10 others the same price. I wish you the best of luck with your sale and I'd be happy if you got $4 million for it, because I want everyone to prosper, and the values of our cars to stay on the upscale.

Isn't that the name of this topic? I must have mis-read it. I have never seen so many crybabys on one site. Birds of a feather flock together I guess. I have met a few intelligent guys on this site with good advice and good knowledge. A Few . Most of the ones that have commented on this thread are not in that catagory.

The original post goes against the spirit if not the actual "rules" of this forum in my opinion...
Sell your car in the classifieds. It will sell for what it's worth.
This forum is for someone who isn't actively trying to sell their car, but want's to know the value, or for someone who see's a car on eBay and wants some help from other members to know what it's worth.

Ok. We checked out your car and gave you opinions. Now you are calling some people that responded jealous? You remind me of the guy from HeartbeatCity that likes to post his ZL1 car for sale all the time with no intention of selling. This is just another "hey, look at my car that I have thread".

If you don't like the site, then get of it!!!!!!!!!!! I've been a member here for quite some time and am very impressed by ALL of the responses that I have recieved. If were not good enough for you then LEAVE. Is "birds of a feather" the only response you have? Not quick enough for anything else? I will give you this. You have a very impressive car. One that I will never be able own/afford, but at the same time will always admire and want. I did not mean to be offensive by any means, but when someone is fishing for complements and they get them, but are still not satisfied. That kinda ticks me off. No one feels inferior to you or your car, so take what complements you got and just thank them for it and move on.:thumbsup:

If it's okay to continue this thread, I'd like to know the history of this car also. What is the Can-Am connection? Was this a Yenko race car or something he sold to a customer with no intentions other than street duty? I guess it'd be obvious that Yenko would have to have installed the engine, but what was the reason? Any info. you could give would be helpful. I haven't run into anything like this before.
