Hey everybody,

I have a 68 Camaro that is in very good condition except the rear half. The left frame rail is shot, parts of both floor pans are rusted out, the trunk floor pan is rusted in spots, the pinch welds on the rockers are not so hot and the quarter panels are bad around the wheel openings. My question is that I have heard that removing all of the affected panels and framing could cause problems when trying to re-align when replacing with new metal.
Any one have some insight on this one?!
Thanks, Scott

DONT cut out all the rusted metal at once..Repair one section at a fine and you'll be fine.

You can do it, there is just a order in which you replace parts. I've done it four times.
Start ON ONE SIDE do rocker, inner wheel well and quarter. Then do the other side, same order. Once you have solid rockers, wheel wells and quarters on both sides, this will keep the car in shape and you can remove the frame rails and do trunk floor if needed. This should work fine on a coupe, converts are a little harder.
