It sits directly above the a/c suitcase facing up, is about 2" square and there is one screw hole on each side of it...I tried to attach a pic but couldn't figure it out.

It sounds like your describing the hole for the Plenum Valve. It's a vacuum assisted door that opens and closes inside the cowl. Try to get your hands on an assembly manual, you'll most likely need it sooner or later. graemlins/thumbsup.gif
