BonzoHansen Nov 6th, 06, 08:06 PM Check out LS1tech.com. idiotfoo101 Nov 6th, 06, 08:21 PM thanks i want to put A lt1 in it Bowtie68 Nov 7th, 06, 01:57 PM If you can find the info there its pretty much the same stuff needed. LT1 engine, wireharness for the engine, not sure if you would want to keep the t5 in there with that engine. If you end up swapping the tranny you'll have to see if the crossmembers are the same as well. Your looking at a hell of a job. Most people just end up selling the v6 and buying a z28 instead. Probally not to much more in the long run. Especially if your not doing the work. idiotfoo101 Nov 7th, 06, 07:41 PM im doing the work imonly 16 but my dad is a mechanic bearcat44 Nov 8th, 06, 04:48 PM Good advice but wrong site  . Go to www.cz28.com, there are multiple people on that site doing the swap. Do a search on the v6 section and you will find all the help and material you would ever need! David. Just to start you out, you'll need a new tranny as that one will die behind the lt-1, a new motor (duh), all the wiring, and maybe radiator swapout? Your driveshaft will also have to be shortened. Motor mounts are different. May need to move your exhaust too. |
