I am getting ready to install my shocks after a rear suspension rebuild. I removed the upper shock brackets and cleaned all the old sealer out from around the center ring. The factor assembly manual says to use "Cement Plastic Seam". Any idea what this is and where I can get some? If not what are some good alternatives?

Murph,
You should be able to go to your auto paint supply store, or body supply house. It comes in a tube that fits in a caulking gun. It is the same stuff that goes around the plugs that are in the floor of the trunk.

Thanks Mark. I'll give them a try. It almost seemed like the old stuff was like a rope before 35 years of age.
