What do these stampings mean? It looks like they read A 11? They are stamped on the underside of the trunk lid.

That's the date stamp for when the trunk lip was manufactored, A 11 would equal Jan 11.

If I remember correctly, the letter was designated as the plant where manufactured and the number was the week.

The Letter designates the Sheetmetal Plant and the numbers are the week manufactured.

Your sheetmetal was made week 11 or approximately 3rd week of March.

Mine is stamped K44

My trim tag says 03D. It appears that this a bit close together? What do you think?

I think its fine. My car is 11B and the 44th week would be about early Nov.
