Has anyone installed a 3rd brake light in their rear spoiler?

Did one on a 68 Firebird. We used a 68 Camaro spoiler. The light itself was sold by Gearbox Granny's (bought out by Trim Parts). We disassembled the light and cut a hole in the spoiler for just the lense. We molded the socket assembly inside the spoiler and ran the wires. It took a little engineering but not to bad. The finished product really looked neat.

I used a 92 taurus show 3rd brake light and it fit perfectly in the spoiler. It was an l.e.d. unit. The one thing I had to do was wire it directly to the brake switch.

Codi had to do the same thing.

Was the taurus brake light that you used from the spoiler or from the back window?

Taurus light was from the spoiler. Had to bond a mounting surface to inside of spoiler with fiberglass, light has 2 bolts to secure it in place.

Tyler, I'd be interested in the spoiler stop light, but as Rick asked, is this for the 69 as the spoilers are different. Ialso be interested in the side exhaust. Any info??

Saw a Caddy STS in front of me yesterday and wondered if their rear trunk deck light would fit a spoiler on a first gen. It had a center circle for Caddy that could be replaced with a bowtie and the side to side light was thin and red, would be neat to see someone creative work with one of those for fun.

I have seen a really nice application nearby on a 69. I'll try to get a picture of it, and find the owner to ask what he did. It's about 8" wide and about 1" tall, it looks like it's meant to be there.
