Found a guy that has a completely solid shell, freshly dipped with axle and subframe mounted under it.

No interior, panels, doors, motor, glass, anything.

What would this be worth?

7500 for a shell? You can buy a complete car that is solid for that price

Sure why not. Dyncorn 69 coupes are going for like $14K without subframe and axle.

Where? Ill take as many rust free complete first gen camaros for that price ($6500 to $7500) as you can find.

I would too if it included trunk, doors, fenders, hood, header panel, valance, etc.

I don't think that you can buy a good running (engine, tranny & diff), super solid body & great interior 1st gen for $7500. Look at the some of the "solid" POS that poeple on ebay are "selling" for $20K.

At least in this condition you know what you are getting.

No you can't never said you could. You can find em complete, with good metal but would need interior redone, paint, etc, basically still need restored but VERY minimal body work.

I paid $9200 for a shell but it did have a entire new front clip. Had been bead blasted, complete new doors and installed new 1/4's. Sheetmetal is Goodmark. Had a bunch of original crap in boxes, most of it won't be used but he did have about $2,000 in new aftermarket parts (emblems, hinges and such) Needed partial floor pans. I thought it was a pretty good deal.

I forgot to mention that this shell has no VIN tag.

I paid 1500 for a rotted out shell. I now have a solid roller and have about 7-8k invested but that includes doors, fenders ect...

Then it's good to cut up or race. Not worth much.

Im sorry...but i havent seen a solid first gen that just needs interior work and paint and basically no body work for $6500-$7500 in a long time.

I agree with Craig. You dont see rust free cars with drive train for $6500 - $ 7500. What you see is a basket case roller for $ 5000.

Guess they are just here in the midwest. Bought mine roller for 1900, it's decent shape but just thought I could bypass the body work by buying a good shell. There was a full solid runner just east of town for $7000 a couple months back.
