Well, fina'lly a picture of the 68'. What I would like to do is get a little more lift out of the rear and drop the front slightly. I want to go to 285/60R15 BFG's on the back mounted on a 15x8 Rally Sport wheels. I believe a 4.5 BS should suffice. I don't want to use air shocks, but at the same time I understand that new monosprings on the rear will ev[/URL]entually sag. Year One sells a mono leaf that can be order with as much additional lift as you need. Does anyone have any experience with this swap?

I don't know about the mono leaf, but I had Eaton make a set of multi leafs for my Nova that are 1 1/2" taller than stock. They work great.

I personally like the current stance of you car. I think 285 are going to give you some rubbing problems even back spaced correctly. I've got 255/60R15 on my with 4.5 backspacing which fit perfect. No rubbing but very close. Do some more research because there's an infinite amount of info on the subject. I went with the 255's because I didn't want to deal with any rubbing issues.

Put some Eibach Front Springs PRO-KIT 1" Drop - Part Number 3848.120 on the front, leave the rear alone, maximum you can clear on a 68 is going to be 255s, 275s if it was a 69.

Thanks to everyone who responded. I will probably go with the 255's with the 8" Rally Sport wheels. I personally don't care for Torque Thrust II's that are on the car or the white letter tires. It didn't come with white letter tires from the factory and to me it looks out of place. This car came out of Calhoun County Georgia and found it's way to Michigan.

Robert68,
Thank you for the nice compliment. I am going to go with the 255/60R15s on the back instead of something bigger. I am also going with chrome 8" Rally Sport wheels on the rear and 15x7" on the front with the current 215/60R15's that are pictured. The car sets level but I would like to have it slightly raked. I would like to try the Hotchkis 2" lower springs in the front to achieve this look. Nothing will happen until Spring, but a least I will have the parts ready to go.

The 3 leaf mono replacement springs from JCW helped raise my saggy rear on my 69 monoleaf. I just got my Eibach 1" lowering front springs yesterday from Jeg's. I will also be replacing the front bushings/ball joints/tie rod ends/shocks and sway bar. Nice GO-MARO!
