If the end is splined , then the part you need is a joint from a '69 with a tilt. If it the oval one with a bolt, then I'm not sure if one is available, but a aftermarket column company like IDIDIT (sp?) may make something.

I think your going to have lots of issues besides physically fitting, there is the entire hooking up the turn signal switch problems

I have a tilt from a 70+ Impala with no problems. The length is the same but I believe the rag joint is different. The power steering link gives all the info on how to put one in.

This will link you directly to the paper.

It basically says that 2nd generation F-car steering columns (1970 through 1977) can be used to directly replace your 1969 steering column. Although the 2nd gen steering columns had a separate intermediate steering shaft (I-shaft) the every end of the steering column (the part that connects to the I-shaft pot coupling) on the 70-77 was the same diameter and had splines the same as the 1969 steering column. So if you have one of those columns, just disconnect and throw away the I-shaft and you have a steering column that will bolt right into your 1969.
After 1977, the steering shaft coming out of the steering column had its end configuration changed to a design that was a double D and used a through bolt to attach the pot coupling. That design does not have a production type flange that will connect to a flexible coupling.
