I own a z28 camaro 1984. everything is stock, with the exception of a rebuilt transmission, aswell as windowshield wiper work has been done.

I want to build her up finally...get her to what she should be! My friend and I discussed and thought about adding an exhaust system (flowmaster/magnaflow(?)) and then dropping a 350 in it (it has a 305 now).

He knows more about cars than I do, i am just starting getting into my car..so any required reading to know wat does wat?...i literally only know what i hear my friends say haha

the goal is a mean car, fast and powerful...i know this isnt a cheap endevour, but the cheaper the better! What would you do if you were in my situation...what would you build up first?

If I did not have to worry about any smog laws???

I would build seperate motor on a stand, a 4 bolt 350 with aftermarket manifold, polished and ported, oh yeah, carb, headers, exhaust, ect ect ect :) None of that smog crap, yuck, just a pcv. All streetable of course, not a race car, just a street hot rod, daily driver.
