Hey
I just installed a set of multileaf springs in my 67 camaro. They were purchased from a reputable Camaro parts house. I removed the front spring bushing and replaced them with Cal trac aluminum bushings. When I installed the springs the shackles were pulled forward and the springs had a very noticible arch. I put the wheels on it and it sits extremely high in the rearend. Is it possible they're backwards? If they are the bushings were installed in the wrong end from the factory. These are 5 leaf springs. Hope somebody knows the answer to this one.

I did a mono to 5 leaf in my 67 this summer. It sits about 2 inches higher due to arch of the new spring. I will have my springs dearched. I also used the mono leaf mounting plates, and had to use shock extensions.

Also, be sure not to tighten up shackles until full weight of the car is on them, and you bounced it around.

Run a search there is lots of info on this topic already posted.

It seems the most popular swap is 3 leaf option from the monos to minimize headaches.
