On a 69 w/AC it seems the passenger side kick panel has a vent to let air in. It also appears there is no vent on the driver's side. The kick panel just covers the hole where the vent would be. Mine is completely disassembled and I'm trying to figure out the water drainage through the kick panels and out through the rocker panels. I know how the water drains, but am trying to figure out the vents so I can best seal the kick panels to prevent leakage into the "cabin".
The "dum-dum" putty they used seems questionable, so if there is no venting on the driver's side I might put a water proof cover over the hole and then put the kick panel on.
So again the question is: Does the driver's side kick panel have any venting?

No vent. There is a metal piece that covers the hole. It is shaped like the hole and screws on with the dum dum between. Then the kick panel goes on top.
