Jim67,
I have a 68 with all the outside AC stuff removed. The original controls are retained and I have all the heat I need. You should not have any problems at all with it.

Will I go back to a standard heater box (no a/c style) on the firewall? What will cover the rest of the blank space?
Thanks Kev!

If you go with the original style cover you will still have a hole. If you go to our sponsor's website SS396.com they sell a heater box cover made to hide the AC hole. Its listed as AXB-7A $139.95 however if you were a Team Camaro member, you get a $10 % discount on non-kit items.

a restoration means to Return to a like New condition.....
True. But IMO a sports/muscle/performance car should never be equipped with A/C in the first place......
Get rid of it.
