My grandfather has a 67 convertible camaro. it is completly stock but not in great shape. It needs complete restoration but the body needs minimal work, at most 2 rear quarters. It needs the interior to be completly redone. It has buckets up front. 4 drum brakes. Factory 327 with 210hp. The car has about 70k miles on it. Anyone have a rough estimate on what it would be worth right now. He may be restoring it but if he sells it i may try to buy it. it runs great. It has been sitting for about 20 years in a garage so not much rust. needs paint and polishing. Needs more interior work than the body but the seats are not ripped or anything. It is a black interior.

Hard to tell without pictures. Any options?
But a running/drivable convertible should bring 12-15k on ebay.
Just a guess. Post some pics.

It is your grandfathers car.....
I would buy the car from him - at any price.
(I would imagine he will be proud to sell it to you).
Technically, you would be the original owner. (one family owned car)

If you don't buy it now, someday in the future you are going to be looking for Grandpa's Camaro.

Keep it, or I think you will regret it.
You could put it on ebay with a VERY high reserve - that way to determine it's true value. - then you buy it.
Just my opinion....
:beers:

The fact that you know the history of the car, that it has only 70K miles on it, it is in realitively good shape, AND it is a convert would lead me to believe that as previously mentioned, it is worth $12K...assuming the car is solid and doesn't need new rocker panels, etc.

Yup, it's worth at least $12k, cause I've not seen at and it sounds like something I'd give that for now, but I agree TOTALLY with PaceCarJeff

Unless he wants $30K for it.
Then, you tell that old coot to "get a life" :)

Is he the original owner?
I forget that - I could almost be someones grandfather.
