Not sure where this question would fit but has anyone ever seen a 68 with the antenna located on the top of the rear pass qtr panel. My car is a base/standard car 327 210HP 2sp (I know it's not a 396 but hey for my 1st resto project I did't want to learn on a car that still costs 15K with rust..) The car is matching numbers all original so I don't think anyone ever moved it> I checked the VIN and block / tranny numbers before I bought the car and made sure they matched but I haven't gone through the full cowl tag yet. Was the rear antenna an option? It's the same antenna as on the front of cars I have seen but it's in back??? Any idea's??

I don't know if my 69 is original, but it also has a power antenna on the rear pass qtr panel.

The rear antenna was an option. It was an AM radio only option though. My antenna is on the qtr also.

I have a 69 convertible with the antenna on the pass rear. It was only available with the am radio.

North Syracuse cars, the slow ones, got the antenna on the right rear. Right, brother? I have one, don't know if it was original, on the drivers side rear quarter.

Correct me if i'm wrong but if you had the antenna on the rear qter then your car shouldn't have a rear spoiler?

Thats correct. I wanted to add a spoiler to mine so I put in a power antenna so I can lower the antenna before opening the trunk. The spoiler will hit the antenna otherwise.

I hooked mine to a switch instead of the radio for that specific reason.
