: Headliner Installation

Again, I suspect there are several old postings on this subject but I missed them. I have the Fisher Body manual and the instructions that came with the headliner; however, I'm not sure about one of the wires. The manual says install the 3rd wire first and bend the tabs over to hold it in place. When looking at the position for the 3rd wire (it runs through the middle of the roof stiffener) there are six clips that hold this wire in place. Then about an inch aft of that location is another wire, not as large a diameter as any of the ones that go into the plastic clips but it goes from side to side and is held in place by tabs that are bent over. Are there two wires, side to side, in the center of the headliner that hold the center in place? If so, which one should be installed first, the bent tabs or the clips?

Install the center wire first that the metal clips hold on. Its a small wire about the size of a coat hanger. Once you have it in you can install the larger wires. Hope this helps.

slice the pocket at all locations that its pinched up or you will get little puckers when you pull it tight.
I found out the hard way.....
