I normally wouldn’t start a new thread, but I think the cruise forum is overlooked this time of the year by Jersey folks. Given there are no cruises this time of the year in Jersey.

Location: TBD Location near Route 1 in Central NJ

No one had any preference so I picked a random date, with a snow date of Saturday 2/10 :). I’m thinking we should do a late lunch around 2PM. Being off hours, we can loiter longer without dirty stares from the wait staff.

The next big question is where?!?!?!? I kind of drew a map between everyone, and the Route 1 corridor from Princeton/West Windsor to a few miles north of that is generally the easily accessible middle. Any ideas or preferences? We’ve met at the Chili’s on Rt. 1 in West Windsor many times with good luck. Plus it seems Camaro guys love Chicken Fried Steak. But there are lots of places on that road.

Chili’s is just suggestion #1. I’m still open for suggestions. But this is the one I am thinking of – I think Rt. 1 is easier for folks coming from up north and west.

The central NJ guys in NJFBOA meet every 2nd Tuesday of the month. We actually met there last month. Everyone is welcome; the location is usually picked a week in advance or so as everyone starts getting hungry. I will post this over there when we get closer, there are some 1st gen guys prowling around there, and all Camaro love is good! IIRC, Justin was telling me he wants a dark blue 68 RS. hey guys this is a far shot but figured I'll give it a shot. I'm wondering if anybody has a set of stock 16x7.5 steel wheels laying around from their 93-02 camaro. one, or a whole set whatever. For now I really just need one for a mock up for a project to see if they will even work. Thanks for any help you can give me.

Scott, just went to Chili's to scope it out. Talked to the gal up front and she had taken your reservations. The room is on the side and will hold 45 people if we need extra :D We can hang the banner along the windows. Need string to hang it onto a coat hook and tape it to the window frame on the other side. Did you and Jim get the banner worked out?

I didn't think the banner would fit. You think it will? I'll contact Jim tonight.

Yes, the wall of windows is approx 20 ft long and 5 ft high and the hostess said we could hang it from the coat hook and tape it (masking would be best) to the wood trim around the windows. I went there are 12:05 and the place was not crowded at all. They were not seating anyone in that room (which is not in the main traffic patterns) and there is just one opening in the back of the resturant to get to the room. Its quite secluded. Let see if we can get the banner!

The banner will fit, it's maybe 8' by 2'.
It all ready has rope (4' or so) attaches to all 4 corners.

Ehh, I kinda doubt the car is gonna make it out before the 4speed swap, but then again, I have said that about 10 times now :rolleyes: It depends on the weather I guess, and how bad I need to hear that 'lil 327 scream :p...

Remember all of the salt on the road right now. My car and bike sits during the winter because of the damage the salt can do to the chrome, and I'm not washing anything when it's 20 degrees out.

I would suggest parking towards the rear which is where we usually park. But it could all depend on where they plow up the piles of snow too! :p

Yeah it will take me 20 minutes to get started in that weather. You will also get to see the modifications I did to it on the highway bringing the car back home two weeks ago. There was a bit of a blizzard in Virginia on my way back. I saw twenty wrecked cars that day (21 if you count mine).

It could have been worse; thank god for steel cars. Just the fender and the drivers side quarter are going to need work. Heck, better now than after my $7,000 paint job.

Man, I wish I could make this event. One son has a track meet the other has indoor baseball practicing starting up on Saturday. IMO, should have seperate checks, not fair to limit what someone can order, also not fair to make the guy who only orders a little pay for the guy who orders a lot. Alcohol adds up fast.

That's the easiest...been at gatherings with friends and this works out well. Food on one bill and booze out of pocket. Also keeps people from getting too lubed up.

Ok looks like I am off to a late start but the wife is getting ready now ( That may be a delay). About a two HR. trip from here. Save some nachos and salsa for us!

At least we didn't get much of anything from these last 2 storms. So the roads look good and clean, it's just cold out! Nothing like trying to keep a solid lifter big block running without a choke!

Yeah, it was a good turnout. And it's always fun driving the Camaro so meets like this make it a blast. Gotta love merging into that rt1 traffice too! :D

Hey everyone, we just got home from the meet. It was really great to meet everyone. Is it me or do Camaro owners have an extra specail sense of humor? We had a lot of laughs. The trip was worth it. Team Camaro is loaded with great people I am glad to be a part of it. Thanks Bonzo for all the work you did to make it happen. Looking foward to the next meet warm weather and more hot cars.

Hey Scott, I have to agree that we need to get some acceptance on what pictures are posted BEFORE they are put up on the thread! That's me scratching the back of my head in the lower left and now I have to listen to my wife about the bald spot (that I don't agree is there! ALWAYS IN DENIAL!) :eek:.

Great meeting and definitely look forward to warm weather when we can bring the cars!

2536that is a great color....

M70 SS396 is also an original Copper car. It was repainted black at some time in it's life and I don't really plan on having it repainted since it's a pretty nice driver as it is. Can you picture a Classic Copper SS396 L78 car with no spoilers and wire wheel hubcaps! :noway:
