rich pern Nov 28th, 06, 04:40 PM Try nastyz28.com, but if the num's match, as a guess, i'd say 3000.00? They are going up every day.
Daytona Yellow 69 Z/28 Nov 28th, 06, 05:33 PM Thanks Rich. That is about what I thought. I did look on Nastyz28 and it shows this is lowest production color combo at 3450 total units. Of course we all know that rare and desireable are two differant things.
Thanks Again,
Nick
BonzoHansen Nov 28th, 06, 06:25 PM If it is rust free and the Z parts are all there, 2500-3500 is fair. IMO
South Side Goons & Hitmen Nov 28th, 06, 08:06 PM I would think it would be alot more than 3 grand. In Chi-town a car like that with factory A/C goes for around 5 grand....If it's matching numbers and the floors are solid $6,200 would not be out of the question to ask...If you can get it for $4,500 I would do it.

ProdigyCustoms Nov 29th, 06, 04:43 AM 400 pound women are rare, but desirable? LOL! If it was virgin under the hood and the A/C and smog were hooked up I would get more excited. Not many unmolested ones around. This looks perfect to Pro Tour though, I am at $1800 to $2200 tops.

I dunno, the interior don't look so good. Frank is right - she is ready to go any direction you want! Floors & quarters are deal makers too.
South Side Goons & Hitmen Nov 29th, 06, 01:51 PM Frank's comments were funny. Thanks for the laugh. Bonzo, I just looked at the interior once again. Not good. Color is not very desirable either. Although I have seen decent ones (red, blue, black cars) bring close to 5 grand, in and around Chi-town all day long.
z10kl Nov 29th, 06, 06:26 PM Forget that one, get the one in then garage!!!
Prelude00782 Nov 29th, 06, 07:20 PM I paid $4,000 for my 79... I think I overpaid, considering that my camaro needed alot of work, and had some rust spots in the floorpans. But the shell was in great shape, and the engines only problem was leaky o rings. That and the fact that the two previous owners spent more time rigging up cheap stereos than trying to take care... still, she was worth it to me. For these cars, you have to consider how much is it worth to YOU.

LOL...... I already own the one in the garage

markr Nov 30th, 06, 04:00 AM I'd say $3K-$3.5K depending on mechanical condition.
South Side Goons & Hitmen Nov 30th, 06, 06:46 AM I just saw one listed for sale today around here (Chi-town). It was in the same condition, close to the same colors and going for around 3 grand. I agree with markr.
67 Plum Nov 30th, 06, 07:55 AM I am at $1800 to $2200 tops.
Have to agree with Frank around here $1500 tops.Maybe we should start buying them here and reselling them in Chi-town.
angelglo Nov 30th, 06, 08:25 AM i wish i had held onto my 78 z28. i sold it in 99 for $300. it was running, had a mildly pumped 350 with a m21. i just didnt have any parking for it at the time. i would buy another one for 2500-3500 if it was rust free.
gotsnappy Nov 30th, 06, 04:16 PM i own 80 Z-28 I would say 2000
Daytona Yellow 69 Z/28 Nov 30th, 06, 04:56 PM Thanks to all for the help with this car. I am kinda out of the loop with these late second gen cars. I was thinking 2800.00 obo hoping to get 2500.00. I did list in my local classifieds and the add broke on Tuesday but with little to no responce.
I did have some one call last night and say he would give 2300.00 and pick it up at 10am this morning. Well..... he still hasnt show up yet. LOL....
It seems this car may be worth more in parts. and that is a very sad statement. I keep thinking that one day in the next few years i am really going to wish I keep this car when the value starts sky rocketing.
rich pern Nov 30th, 06, 06:19 PM They will go up. Skyrocket? That I don;t know. In the late 80's we all wanted one of these. It's just a matter of time.
South Side Goons & Hitmen Nov 30th, 06, 10:19 PM angelglo I feel you pain. I sold, make that gave away my first 1969 in 1994 for $2,200. The body was straight and no rust too.
I saw another 1979 Z around here today for 3 grand. Welll buitl and cleanthese go for 8 grand around here. On anotehr note a friend of mine sold a 1978 Pontiac Trans Am 400, 4 spd w/ T-Tops all original for $5,500 back in 1999. That car today around here gets sold for $17k or $18k
If any of you guys knows someone selling a 1968 Firebird for around 8 grand let me know. A friend of mine & his wife are looking for one.
Thamks!!
