I assume this probably belongs in the ENGINE topic, but it seems like more of the painters hang out here.

Has anyone used the POR-15 Engine Paint before?
I brushed on my first coat last night and this stuff seemed quite runny and transparent.
Can I expect better results with the second coat? How many coats did it require?

Does spraying provide a more even coat? It HAS to be quicker... I brushed that SOB for an hour and 40 min last night. LOL

I'm lazy and didn't read the threads but the POR15 engine paint needs heat to cure as in running the motor.

Ok, I spoke too soon.
Second coat is on now and it looks much better. Looks like I even have enough paint from that little pint to give it a third coat.

Just a quick factoid from POR, you should use the engine paint on top of the rust paint. What I found and inquired about was the paint peeling off in large pieces. However, it seemed to stick fairly well on the wife's 2.8v6.
