I have a mallory distributor currently equipped with dual points. I put it on yesterdaynowmy car is running poorly. It is a 67 327 camaro. The car starts but when i try to drive air pops out the carb and the car dies. It is running very hard i am not sure what is wrong. I was thinking the points may be adjusted wrong. I have a unilite conversion for my distributor should i put that on?

Make it right with the points first.

Pertronix has a good conversion kit for the mallory unilite distributors. I believe it is around 90.00. The unilite modules are very unreliable.

Does Pertronix make a unit to convert a Mallory dual point distributor?

Make sure the points are set right. There is nothing wrong with point type dist. electronic ones are just better. It may just be seriously retarded try turning the dist.
