: 1967 Camaro...VERY ROUGH
Fuzzyhall Dec 3rd, 06, 10:05 AM Hey guys, what do you think this car is worth?
NEEDS LOTS OF WORK. Numbers matching 6cyc. and 2speed powerglide.
worth $600?
Thanks!
Matt M. Dec 3rd, 06, 10:12 AM Yeah, I'd buy it for $600. All depends on what you want. If you want to spend a few years in the garage before you drive it--go for it. If you're not the patient do-it yourself type, spend the money and buy a driver. Just my 2-cents.
69TAPoser Dec 3rd, 06, 10:36 AM Are you selling it or looking to buy it? If you are selling I know someone who may be interested and I am heading to Upstate, Ny at Christmas (Syracuse).
Whether it is worth it or not depends on your time and skills, IMHO. If you can't do the required bodywork, a shop would charge BIG $$ to fix it. Also, figure about $4-6K just in body panels.

36j1967 Dec 3rd, 06, 11:03 AM I wonder if that is original paint as I've always wondered what the factory nose stripe would look like on an unbadged model? Just interesting to note.
Blade Dec 3rd, 06, 11:48 AM wow that certainly is a project car!
WildBillyT Dec 3rd, 06, 12:06 PM No worse then mine when I bought it. Go for it.
jet_car2000 Dec 3rd, 06, 01:23 PM worth 600 bucks is a no brainer, i would gladly give 600 for that car or any other one thats half as compete as that one is

foreverlookin Dec 3rd, 06, 07:04 PM Thats what I would call a Fred Flinestone special! Easily worth $600. Where's the interior?

That is the best advise for anyone going to look at a barn/field/my co-workers aunt knows an old lady with a .... find. I NEVER get to the "see it in person" stage without a good idea what I would be willing to spend and have the cash in my pocket. Lost too many deals this same way in the distant past. Hopefully there will be others for you. They don't seem to exist in my neighborhood anymore.

That didn't take long!!!!!!!!
AMAZING TO ME!!!
thorpe67RS Dec 5th, 06, 04:43 AM Yeah i saw the car on ebay before you even posted it here and wondered what someone would be willing to give for it. Always checking classic cars near me on ebay. He ended the auction early??
Lost in the 60's Dec 5th, 06, 05:46 AM Appears to still be going .... I was thinking the same as Fuzzy...I would have been hard pressed to see a return of $600 in parts.....now the bid is at half of what that car cost NEW and may well go higher. 8-10 years ago it wasn't worth dragging to a crusher for scrap price....now it appears the color is worth gold. :clonk:
brandon_s_walker Dec 16th, 06, 06:29 PM Hey where is that junk yard located at..... its heaven to me
Dustypowers Dec 16th, 06, 10:27 PM Well guys, I missed it :boring: it is sold. I called tonight to tell him I wanted it...
oh well.....it was worth the excitement!!!
that was always my luck
Joe Harrison Dec 17th, 06, 01:40 PM You should have shelled out the cash or left a deposit. Any Camaro less than $1000.00 in even half the shape as that one is going to be worth it in todays market. Sad but true. 15 to 20 years ago people were being paid to haul off Camaros or ???? in the condition in those pictures. It's amazing what time does to car values.
