i have a prostreet 67 camaro just about finished and i have to start thinking of the paint scheme. would a black paint jog contribute to overheating on hot days?

It would definetely overheat the interior! Try laying your hand on the roof of a black car and a white car at a parking lot on a hot day. Further more a black car needs very good bodywork to look straight because every flaw will be very visible, just like any door dings you might aquire in the futere. Even more it is a difficult color to wax and to keep clean.

On the other hand, if the car is straight and shiny, black is one of the most beatiful colors IMO. I don't think your engine will overheat because of the color if your cooling system is in good condition...

My 67 is black (not the original color) inside and out. It is very, very, very hot. Driving it during the summer will make ya sweat! That is one of the reasons I will painting it back to the original color some day. It looks good, but it is just too hot!

i was thinking of gettin red w/black stripes but then i have the whole cop on my ass problem. i want something that makes heads turn but not too much attention from the cops.

there is just something so sweet about a black first gen,mine is going black with black vinyl top and red stripes,it may be hot, but it will look hot too!
