I just got this private message from"jeemy501", sounds kind of wierd:

I am an agent that have chains of clients and one of my client has made a quote on the type of ur item that was why i contact you,My client is using a Money order/cashier's check as mode of payment, and the check will include your item money and the shipper's charges. You are to cash the check at any cashing point in ur area or your bank then deduct the sales of ur item the left over is for the shipper's charges, you will need to wire the excess funds to the shipping company directly via western union money transfer so that they can come over for the pickup of the item at your resindetial,You don't need to bother of the shippment we are using a private shipping company for the pick up,The shipper's information will come along with the check,Will you be able to wire the excess funds via western union to the shipper when you recieved the check?the check is honour and cashable same day it is received. So if you agree to this terms of payment then forward your full contact information where you want my client to send the check to with your phone number...........Regards.

absolutely a scam. Disregard it, don't email or PM back, just leave it alone and let the moderators know.

He's been banned but I don't know if that keeps him from sending e-mail. We will be looking into it further. Thanks for letting us know...

Thanks guys. Is there any way that I can scam this guy? You know try and get some of his money? I've been thinking of this, maybe I can get him to send me a check or something. lol, Give him a piece of his own medicine.

I've found it best to just ignore these people and alert the "authorities". If you get back to them, then they have you in a dialogue and know for sure how to contact you. Once that's done, it's amazing what the right person can do with some software and your IP number.......

Any "money" or "check" he might send you would be 100% toiletpaper anyway. So save yourself the time and hassle.

His IP range has been banned so he shouldn't be able to view this site now.

I got the same message from the same sender. It is commonly referred to as the "Nigerian Scam". They try to get your bank account number and an authorization to deposit money directly into your account. The problem is if you give someone an authorization to deposit into your account, you are also giving them authorization to take money out!
