: My LT1 is missing...

I have a 1994 Camaro Z28. I just finished rebuilding the motor, LT1, with new crank, bearings, optispark, wires, plugs, water pump, and all of the major things. My car will start up and run, however, it doesn't just start right up. It acts like it is not getting gas, but I checked and I know it is. After it is started, it is missing on one or two cylinders. I've already made sure the plug wires are going to the correct plug, the plugs are properly gapped. Every thing has been done by the book. When I built it I put the dots on the timing gears at six and twelve facing each other and everything, so it must be in time. I took all the plugs out and all of them looked normal, a little tan like they are suppose to be, except 5 and 4, they were black. Please help me. I've been trying to figure this out for a week. I really miss driving my Camaro. Thanks.

Do you have a timing gun?

The only thing I can think of is the plug wires on the optispark end can be a pain in the *** to get seated right. I would pull those and reattach them and possibly use some conductive grease to help with popping them on and improve the coductivity at the same time.

Oh, also, have you had the injectors out and cleaned? One or more may be dirty or clogged.

Hope that helps,

Adam

Thanks. I'm going to check the injectors sometime this week.
