Hi, friend called me tonight and offered me a motor he's had laying around in his garage, I asked for the numbers and he gave me the casting as 3932386, heads were not 186 but 185,so he says...i asked for pad behind alternator and he gave me K0924FB and then 19005350...i think the casting is 302 but anyone know that the others are about?..Thanks..he also said it has 4 bolt mains

386 block was also used for 327 and 350 engines in 69. that particular block is a big car 327, assembled at the McKinnon (K) assembly plant.

Makes sense with the head numbers you gave.

1969 3927185 327 1.72 1.5

Guy wants 1400 for the motor so might be a bit on the high side then..i just found the 185 head being a 327 part after doing search...it would be a good motor to build if it is 4 bolt main though?

The 185 head was also used on 307s.

Verify the 4 bolt mains, No 327 had 4 bolt mains

1400.00 ? Thats a little steep. I bought a brand new 350 for that much.

Agreed...I'm putting together a regular old, nothing special 350 at the moment from a low mile early 80's pickup; 4-bolt, forged crank, So far, with the initial block purchase, Vortecs, a cam, lifters, gaskets, timing set, oil pump and Edelbrock intake for vortecs, I'm in for about $750. $1400 is steep unless it's a 327/350hp in great shape....I'd think about it then.
