Hi, I just pulled an old delco 8 track (not original) out of my rs. I wanted to sell it on ebay. It was not original. I was wondering if anyone knows of a site decode the 60/70 delco radios.
I think the relevent numbers from the part tag are:
GM2700
70BFMT1
7898510
Any help or redirect appreciated. Thanks. RM.

I believe the first number indicates the year. In your case, 1977. I am surprised the second letter is a 0 because the second letter designated which GM car it was put in and typically a 1 would be Chevrolet, 2 would be Pontiac, 3 Olds, 4 Buick and 5 Cadillac. The BFM designation was only used for Chevrolet but I can't tell you which model (Chevelle, Impala, camaro) it originally went in.

Thanks for this help. I did have a typo on one of the ref numbers.
It should be
90BFMT1 not 70BFMT1.
I was also confused on the 0 after the 9. I see the same references on other websites as the post from Gregg. No ref to a zero after the first number. Thanks again.
