Someone please discribe the plate that is supposed to be behind the drivers side wheel at 1 o-clock. Its supposed to be for a duel exaust hanger meaning SS right. If so what exactly does it look like, please be specific as to where it is located and what it looks like. is it 3"x5", does it have a slit in it.??

Troy that reinforcement plate is for dual exhaust hanger on 69 coupes only. It does NOT mean SS for sure, only that the car was ordered with dual exhaust. You could have duals on the 327 and 350 without the other SS options. Its about 3"X5" and welded to the outside of the frame rail at about 1 o'clock behind the drivers side rear wheel. Here is one pic of an old one. Now we need to move this question of yours to the proper section since this is the 'welcome wagon' area for new members to introduce themselves.

Doesn't mean SS. All it means is the car (coupes only) came with dual exhaust. While SS's and Z28s required dual exhaust, any V8 car could have been ordered with dual exhaust. Its just a peice of the puzzle used to identify a car when paperwork, or trim codes can't be used or are questionable.
