Just a warning out there to all you Camaro lovers. Beware of buying any fiberglass parts from Unlimited Products. I tried to buy a part for my other GM car and it was a 2 month nightmare. On a website I read alot of other stories that matched my experience with them. If I buy any glass( all my steel is in great shape) for my Camaro, it will be from Harwood. Once bitten from this vendor was all it took.

What happened? What's the website with all the problemos listed?

Mr. Cookman,

Can you explain IN DETAIL the process you went through with Unlimited Products to get the situation rectified, and whether or not they offered to refund or replace the 'part' you were not happy with?
What did they tell you the first time you called them to express your dissatisfaction with 'the part'?

Unless you contacted UP right from the start and told them that you weren't happy with 'the part' and gave them a chance to make it right, I don't see any reason to come here and vent about one transaction regarding one 'part' you weren't happy with.

used one of there hoods on my 84 camaro once. i would never use them ever again. it was one of the poorest fiberglass pieces ive ever seen. it took alot of work just to get it to look and fit decent. the only time i would every reccommend them would be if you are building a beater race car and you dont care what it looks like. i have a harwood hood on my 84 now and i have to say i was not very impressed with the quality of that either.

Not sure if you were talking to me and asking about Glasstech but I can tell you it is a very nice hood. The gelcoat was so slick it needed very little more than a scuff before it was painted.

I have purchased fiberglass hoods from Unlimited, Harwood, Glasstech, US Body Source. The worst one was the Unlimited. Even if you call the vendor and talk to them about the problem you still have to pay the shipping. That is usually about $150.00 to $200.00 round trip. So if you pay $400.00 and some change for a hood you are still out the shipping cost to send it back.

I've used two of their 3.5" cowl hoods and although far from ready to paint i've used much worse. Ready to spray one this week......BLACK

It needed ALOT of work :clonk:
