OK guys, clue me in on manual steering box dating.
I have 2- 5679142 steering boxes both out of known 69 Z,s and i was wondering regarding the stamped date on the pad next to the 3 bolt cover.

#1- B0919- which i take as 091 day of 69, what does the B signify?
cast date is 79

#2- A1909- which i take as 190 day of 69, what does the A signify?
cast date is 139

An earlier thread indicated 1st (A) or 2nd (B) shift.

#1: Housing was cast on day 79, Friday March 21 1969. Assembly was put together by shift B on day 91, Wednesday April 2, 1969.

#2: Housing was cast on day 139, Tuesday May 20 1969. Assembly was put together by shift A on day 190, Thursday July 10 1969.

Just a stab in the dark, mind you.
