Tag looks fine to me. The VIN is towards the end of the 69 model year, about 3300 from the end.

Sure, here's a photo. The car is on eBay http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&viewitem=&item=140060253638. It is 500 mi away and I can't get away before the auction ends to go look at it. I asked if it had the original drivetrain but so far haven't got a clear answer so have assume it is not. I want another (sold mine last year :clonk: ) RS Z and I love the color of this one (not crazy about the blue interior but at least it is a decent shade of blue) but I want a no excuses car. May have to keep looking...:(

Hey Zee28, what did the car look like that you sold?

I think this car is a good buy, and I am partial to 68's....they are not getting cheaper. Dont believe that they ever really will.

Heres another...http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/RS-Z28-X33-D80-12-BOLT-DISC-BRAKE-LOW-RESERVE-68-67_W0QQitemZ260062636162QQihZ016QQcategoryZ6161QQr dZ1QQcmdZViewItem

Wiskee, If the car is really as good as it looks, then I agree its a good buy. I've got high bid at 55k for now, but thats about it for me without a visual inspection. It is obviously worth much more than that if its a numbers car and has a real bill of sale. I would think the seller would know that as well and would address those issues in the auction if... If it were MY car and had all the goodies I would have hundreds of high def photos of EVERYTHING.

Here's the Z I sold last year. You Camaro guys are gonna think I'm nuts, but I sold it to buy a Buick (still have). It was a concours restoration - a trailer queen, not a driver. You could eat off the undercarriage. The buyer flew into OK from NY, threw his luggage in the trunk, and took off for Montana to visit relatives. I about died. He called when he got there to say he ran into snow but made it with no problems. From there, he was gonna drive it home to NYC. It's a driver now...
