Hi, I am using the full floorpan that goes for about $180. Its a great fitting piece that covers virtually all of one side of the floor. My question is when I weld it in should I A) butt weld, B) flange & weld or C) just overlap and weld. I don't care about appearences I am mainly concerned about strength. As it sits now its overlapping the firewall by about an inch or 2. Its where it overlaps the tunnel that I am really wondering. I have cut the old metal to about 2 inches from the top of the tunnel. The repop floor overlaps the top of the tunnel to the halfway point. Should I leave it so it overlaps on the top,or should I cut it down so it fits to just about where the original floor remains on the side of the tunnel?
