Anyone ever heard of a carb somehow having fire inside it. My 2-barrel was opened up a few days ago and everything in it was burnt up. I dont know how, im just wondering if anyone knows. Thanks

Thanks ZZ430DropTop67RS Dec 13th, 06, 12:30 PM If it's the old style carb/manifold that gets heated with exhaust passages, maybe it had the wrong base gasket under the manifold. It would turn a lot of things black. If the float and inside the bowl are melted, I've never seen that happen. Did it have a major backfire? MrCow350 Dec 14th, 06, 09:43 AM I dont know about it being an old style carb. I got it about a year and a half ago. The manifold...is umm probably pretty old. But yeah, the float is melted and the other stuff inside is too. Iv'e had problems with it since i got it. It's also been mis-firing really bad. My car is cursed :( |
