What the heck is an "open" rear end?:confused:

Open means not posi. Punch it and one wheel will spin, not two.

I believe that is a non-positraction rear end. This means that one rear wheel only, typically the RH side, will spin when you break traction. A positraction rear end will spin both rear tires for improved traction when drag racing.
