Hello again everyone. I'm getting ready to pick up my '68 Vert after getting new floors and rockers installed. I'm going to temporarily install the driver's seat and drive it home for the rest of the interior installation. As it turns out, I don't have the bolts to install the seat to the floor pan. Does anyone know the size of the bolt (diameter, length, thread count)? Any help is greatly appreciated.

3/8-16X3/4 hex head with 3/8 flat & lock washers.

Seat track-to-floor bolts are 5/16"-18 x 7/8". :thumbsup:

Our sponsor has them listed in their 'parts' section under part BSM-516. FWIW - this bolt looks nothing like my original seat bolts. Mine have a 'toothed' capture washer with a tapered end.

My 67 vert with original seat bolts had BSM-516 style bolts with toothed washers.They were not tappered.

I think the originals are the same as the deck lid bolts. Recessed hex head, with "M" on it, captured serrated washer, and anti-crossthread (bullet nose)tip.

I used a milk crate. It worked.

Which other size should I try?

I used all thread bolts as studs 5/16 course thread no more trying to line the bolts up threw the carpet.:D

I'm using a bolt kit and this is the size it includes ... thinking they put the wrong size bolts in the kit, I went to the local hardware store and bought this size and tried ... none of the bolts work in any eight of the locations ...

Hmmm ... did some camaros have a different size opening?

These bolts seem too large for me...

Maybe I just need to try and run a tap down these holes ...
