i just recently purchased a lovely 92 z 28 5.7. i noticed a slight hesitation in the accelaration. i came to a complete stop and accelarated fairly hard. the engine spit and sputtered not wanting to go. every since that it hasnt hardly run. you can smell fuel. if you barely give it gas it MIGHT go. someone please help i have no clue as to where to start.

92 should give up a few codes....tell us what they are or go to Autozone. thell tell you for free...my 91 350 did the same thing, cat was clogged up....

the check engine light doesnt come on. will it still read codes?

also when in park it revs up fairly descent without busting out.

if your not getting a check engine light, it is nothing to do with the electrical operation of the motor....

I still say check the cat...

whew!!!!!!! it wasnt nothing too serious. just the coil. i also had someone check the cat., only to find it had already been removed. but i sure do appreciate the help. thanks
