What brackets are you asking about. This swap is about as "bolt in" as it gets. The only issue would be the shifter linkage. I have done two swaps, but always just used an aftermarket shifter. I think there are kits out here which will allow you to retain either a stock column or a stock floor shifter.

If you're using the factory shifter, the rest will all stay the same..... the crossmember, etc. You can buy the cable brackets from the aftermarket, or go junkyard picking and try to find an old Powerglide to grab the bracketry from.
Shiftworks can hook you up with everything including the shifter indicator with the extra gear on it.

My car is in the shop, has been since sept.So I can't go out and look at it, I bought the shifter kit from NPD.I bought TH350 from Advance Auto, not a junk yard. You don't get a flywheel cover, dipstick or cable or any brackets with a replacement transmission. So I'm not sure what I really need, where do the brackets actually go? is there one or two? I'm set up to do this Tues. so I have Monday, to get the parts I need. Poor planing on my part.

What year?
For 68-69, you only need that detent plate for the shifter.
The kickdown linkage is comepletely different, cable instead of mechanical, You'll need the cable and the correct anchor and end brackets to hook it to whatever carb you have.

The kickdown linkage is important. Without it, not only will you have to manually downshift for a passing gear, but upshifts will happen VERY early.

Sorry, I keep forgetting that they kept making Camaros after 1967.It has the 327-210hp.

They did? Oh, you mean "variations" of an otherwise perfect design. :)

So, the TH350 needs a kickdown cable, and it needs a bracket, where does this bracket go?

Thanks Al, a picture is worth, well it sure makes it easier.I finally figured out there are 2 cables on 68 and later 350 (kickdown and shifter).A 67pg does not have any cables. No cables, No brackets,Duh.Thanks again.

great posting guys, and timely. I'm doing the same thing on my 68. I've heard that there are different lengths of TH350's to be concerned with. I'm assuming it's the tail section that is different. Does anyone know the dimensions I should be looking for on that?

you need a short, or 6" tailshaft

you can use the original shifter detent I did not have to change mine...just swapped to a 3 speed indicator lens.Think the detent is riveted on and only was gonna change it if I had too.Pretty easy job...was just kinda hard to get her high enough in the drive way.I think the pg was like 19 inches tall, slid it out under rocker.
